Ornella Chiavola has been working both in the modeling and in the experimentation in the fields of internal combustion engines and of exhaust gas aftertreatment devices, development of algorithms for the combustion optimization, biofuels. She is currently Full Professor of Fluid Machinery and Energy Conversion Systems, ROMA TRE University. Her teaching activities are: ‘Internal Combustion Engines’ at Master Degree of Mechanical Engineering’ and ‘Interaction between machines and environment’ at Master Degree of Mechanical Engineering, ROMA TRE University ‘Volumetric Thermal Engines and Turbogas’ and ‘Renewable Marine Energies’ at Master Degree of Mechanical Engineering for Marine Resources, ROMA TRE University. She is the Coordinator of the Mechanical and Industrial Engineering PhD at ROMA TRE University, Rome, Italy. She is member of the Associate Editorial Board of international journals and reviewer for international journals. She has published 85 papers in international journals. She pursued her PhD Mechanical Engineering, University La Sapienza, Rome, Italy (1999), MS in Mechanical Engineering, University La Sapienza, Rome, Italy (1994).
