Biography

Massimiliano Fabbricino, born in 1966, is Full Professor of Environmental Health Engineering at the Department of Civil, Construction and Environmental Engineering of the University of Naples Federico II, where he teaches Energy from Waste and Circular Economy, and Remediation of Contaminated Sites. He is also Coordinator of the Bachelor's and Master's Degree Courses in Environmental and Territorial Engineering. He has held lectures in the field of environmental remediation at numerous European and non-European universities. He is the scientific responsible, at the Federiciano University, for around fifty collaboration agreements with universities around the world. He received the Washington University Endowed Professorship Award in 2013, the Fulbright Research Grant in 2002, and the Cortese Foundation Award in 1997. He is the inventor of Patent 102018000006379 “Method for controlling the concentration of trihalomethanes in aqueducts”. He is the author of over 100 publications in the field of solid and liquid waste treatment, the remediation of contaminated sites, and the purification of water, as well as a textbook on the treatment of urban solid waste (ed Rogiosi), and of a scientific volume on the alteration of the quality of water intended for human consumption due to the corrosion of pipes (ed. IWA).
